Polyethylene  PEHD

It has a high chemicals resistance, good electrical properties and it absorbs minimum quantities of water. It is usually used in a temperature range from -40°C to +80°C and it is resistant to saline solutions, acids, alcohol and petrol. Below 60°C it is insoluble in all organic solvents. PE is odourless, tasteless and physiologically harmeless. It is suitable to be used in the food industry. Polyetylene PEHD is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. It is sometimes called “alkathene” or “polythene” when used for pipes.
